{"id":83217,"date":"2020-07-21T15:14:49","date_gmt":"2020-07-21T15:14:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pregart.eu\/archive\/?p=83217"},"modified":"2020-07-21T15:23:19","modified_gmt":"2020-07-21T15:23:19","slug":"training-for-research-staff-from-pregart-trial-sites-in-uganda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pregart.eu\/archive\/training-for-research-staff-from-pregart-trial-sites-in-uganda\/","title":{"rendered":"TRAINING FOR RESEARCH STAFF FROM PREGART TRIAL SITES IN UGANDA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PREGART project has successfully organized and conducted a 2-day\u00a0Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training from <strong>6<sup>th<\/sup> to 7<sup>th<\/sup> July 2020<\/strong> and 1-day Protocol training on <strong>8<sup>th<\/sup> July 2020<\/strong> at Mildmay Hospital Lubowa. GCP training was offered by <strong>Mrs Mariam Nakitto<\/strong> and <strong>Dr. Balikuddembe Robert <\/strong>both <strong>GCP specialists from the Clinical Trials Unit, School of Public Health, Makerere University.<\/strong> The protocol training was offered by <strong>Dr. Jackson Mukonzo, Ugandan Country PI PREGART.<br \/>\n<\/strong>A total of 28 and 68 people was in attendance for the GCP and Protocol training respectively. These people were a representation of both the PREGART coordination office, Makerere University and the PREGART data collection site, the Mildmay Hospital.<br \/>\nA diverse expertise of fields was represented in both of these trainings spanning from nursing officers, medical officers, researchers, laboratory technologists and scientists, administrators, PhD fellows, gynaecologists, pharmacists, paediatricians and counsellors.<br \/>\nBoth of these trainings in need equipped all participants in attendance with knowledge and skills on how to implement the PREGART clinical trial.
